Remembering the Revolution

Robinson Township Historical Society will unveil a monument that honors local veterans who fought in the Revolutionary War.

The granite marker will be dedicated on Veterans Day at the American Legion War Memorial Plaza on Stubenville Pike and pay tribute to 48 men from Robinson Township.

The ceremony will be held on November 11th, 2017 from 10:30 to 12:00 and will include the Color Guard, Honor Guard, Sons of the American Legion, Women Auxiliary, Sons of the Revolution, Reenactors, Veterans and the Propel Montour Band.

We will pay special tribute to:

Captain Robert Vance

of the 9th and 13th Virginia Regiments

A Pioneer of this District who served in The Revolutionary War

from 1776 - 1781

Born 1736  Died 1812

"He's our Daniel Boone, Davy Crockett and George Armstrong Custer all in one. He didn't know what the outcome would be, but he fought for the birth of our country."
